West London Bowling Club is the only Bowling Club in Kensington & Chelsea. It was established in 1903 as part of St Quintin’s vision for having sports and recreation in the backlands of the estate. For the past 118 years it has been a vibrant and successful Private Members Club with 100-150 members, of which over 60 were bowlers.
Over the years it has produced champion bowlers and won awards for its garden. The Club now maintains its green, gardens and clubhouse through the voluntary efforts of its members and the Club’s voluntary management committee.
Bowling, Croquet & Petanque
As well as Lawn Bowls we now offer two other sports for members: Croquet in the bowling season (April to October) and Petanque/boules all year round on a purpose built court. Equipment for both is available in the club house.
In the off-season we hold regular events for members including Film Nights. For all EVENTS please check our Calendar page.
Sanitising procedures are still in place when using the Clubhouse. Members are encouraged to use outside tables and seats, when weather allows.
